Friend or Foe?/Kawan atau Lawan?

‘Friends till the head turns hoary, yet still keeping one hand on the sword.’ (Jing Wuji, Quoted from Pouring Wine for Pei Di (酌酒与裴迪) by the Tang Dynasty poet, Wang Wei (王维), The Grandmaster Strategist chapter 126)

‘Menjadi teman hingga rambut memutih, namun tetap memegang pedang di satu tangan.’ (Jing Wuji, Dikutip dari Menuang Arak untuk Pei Di (酌酒与裴迪) oleh penyair Dinasti Tang, Wang Wei (王维), The Grandmaster Strategist bab 126)

Meaning: Even though one has been friend for a lifetime, but one still need to maintain vigilance to some degree as to prevent being disappointed

Arti: Walaupun sudah menjadi sahabat sekain lama, kita harus tetap waspada hingga ke titik tertentu untuk menghindari kita menjadi kecewa.

 

Future is to be Shaped/Masa Depan Untuk Dibentuk

来者可追, laizhekezhui – idiom

lit. what is to come can still be overtaken; fig. the future can still be shaped

harfiah: yang di depan kita masih bisa dilewati; kiasan: masa depan masih bisa diubah

Future is always an uncertainty. We must not becomplacent nor must we be in despair because of it. One must always strive for the best outcome for it is uncertain

Masa depan adalah sebuah ketidakpastian. Kita tidak Boleh terlena atau putus asa karenanya. Setiap orang harus selalu berusaha mendapatkan hasil yang terbaik karena itu adalah hal yang masih belum pasti

心旷神怡, xinkuangshenyi (heart untroubled, spirit pleased/hati yang lepas, jiwa yang gembira)
